Wellnest Business Development Intern
We are a mission-driven fertility clinic platform that will leverage technology and innovation to provide a best-in-class care experience. The company seeks to be the fertility clinic of choice for patients who are not satisfied with the experiences or outcomes of the available providers in their specific geographies (if there are any providers in their geographies at all). The result will be a national network of branded clinics that attracts thousands of IVF patients annually. We intend for the business to redefine the ART treatment experience, eventually contributing to solving the significant disparity between the number of patients who seeking ART, and the number who have access to the procedures due to inefficiently managed clinics and the limited numbers of REIs nationally. About Wellnest Wellnest is building the future of fertility access in America, starting with underserved markets that have been left behind by the existing system. Our first clinic in Ogden, Utah, proved the model: a purpose-built, de novo fertility platform combining world-class clinical care, modern technology, and operational excellence. Now we’re opening a satellite clinic in Salt Lake City, bringing Wellnest’s care to a new population of patients. We’re excited to bring someone on board to help us build it. The Role This is an 80/20 role: 80% business development, 20% startup generalist . You will be in the field every day, meeting with OBGYNs, primary care physicians, and other referring providers across Salt Lake City, building the referral relationships that will drive patients into our new clinic. This is not a desk job. You’ll be our face in the field, building Wellnest’s reputation one physician’s office at a time. If you love people, love sales, and love the idea of making fertility care more accessible, this role was written for you. You’ll report directly to the founding team and have real ownership from week one. What You'll Do Business Development (80%) Hit the field daily, visiting OBGYN offices, primary care clinics, and other referring providers across Salt Lake City to introduce Wellnest and build referral relationships. Own a territory. Map out your target providers, plan your weekly routes, and track every touchpoint. Bring materials to life. Drop off leave-behinds, host lunch-and-learns, and make Wellnest the name every provider in Salt Lake City thinks of first when a patient needs fertility care. Build and maintain a CRM of provider contacts, referral status, and relationship notes. Identify opportunities. Flag gaps in coverage, providers who are warm but not yet referring, and new channels we haven’t tapped. Report back to the team weekly with field insights, pipeline updates, and what’s working. Startup Generalist (20%) Support clinic launch logistics for the Salt Lake City satellite clinic—whatever needs doing, you do it. Help coordinate patient events, community outreach, and local marketing activations. Contribute to how Wellnest shows up in the Salt Lake City community, including brand presence, local partnerships, and social content when relevant. Jump into research, operations, and special projects as they arise. What You'll Learn B2B healthcare sales: how to build a referral network from scratch and convert physician relationships into patient volume. How a de novo fertility clinic gets launched in a new market—from the inside. Patient acquisition and funnel-building in a high-stakes clinical setting. How to work alongside physicians, nurses, and the founding operators of a venture-backed startup. What it means to work in a real startup environment: fast decisions, limited resources, and the creative problem-solving that comes from building something from scratch. What real ownership looks like. You won’t be watching from the sidelines—you’ll carry your own territory, make judgment calls, and see the direct impact of your work on the clinic’s growth. Who You Are A people person. You light up a room, build rapport instantly, and are genuinely excited to meet new people every day. Organized and self-directed. You can manage a territory, track your pipeline, and follow up without being reminded. Passionate about fertility, women’s health, or healthcare access. You care about what Wellnest is building—not just the internship line on your résumé. A current undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate. Major is open; we care more about drive and judgment than your transcript. Warm, professional, and emotionally intelligent. Many of our patients are in a vulnerable chapter of their lives, and that context shapes how we show up everywhere—including in provider offices. Have a reliable car, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. You will be on the road every day across Salt Lake City. Bonus: Prior experience in sales, healthcare, or a patient-facing role. Experience with Canva, Notion, or CRM systems is a plus. Logistics Location: Field-based across Salt Lake City, with a home base at the Wellnest SLC satellite clinic. Timing: Summer 2026, full-time (~40 hours/week) for 10–12 weeks. Start and end dates are flexible around your schedule. Compensation: Paid internship with performance-based sales bonuses tied to referral volume. Beyond the paycheck: As an early employee, you will be a critical part of our core team and influence the direction of the company. We offer competitive compensation, early-stage equity, a full suite of benefits, and we will invest in your career development.

Director of AI, Dating Outcomes
Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all. About the Role Most consumer apps treat your attention as the product, optimizing every recommendation and notification to keep you scrolling. Hinge made the opposite bet: our mission is to get people off the app, out on a date, and eventually to delete us entirely. That is not a tagline. It is the actual constraint every AI system we build has to solve against. The Director of AI, Dating Outcomes owns the hardest version of that problem. You will lead the AI systems at the core of how Hinge connects people: the recommendation engine, the ranking models, and the generative capabilities that help users put their best selves forward. The goal is not engagement, it is outcomes: fewer ratings per exchange, higher quality matches, and more people finding the person they were looking for. Because Hinge does not sell ads or user data, being exceptional at this is our business model. Reporting to the VP of AI, you will set the long-term AI roadmap for one of the company's most influential product areas and build the teams that bring it to life. The problems sit at the intersection of human behavior, sparse real-world signals, and a two-sided ecosystem of people who are not interchangeable, a different kind of ML challenge than most people in this industry have had the chance to work on. As a member of our team, you’ll enjoy: 401(k) Matching: We match 100% of the first 10% of pre-tax 401(k) contributions you make, up to a maximum of $10,000 per year. Professional Growth: Get an annual Learning & Development stipend once you’ve been with us for three months. You also get free access to Udemy, an online learning and teaching marketplace with over 6000 courses, starting your first day. Parental Leave & Planning: When you become a new parent, you’re eligible for 100% paid parental leave (20 paid weeks for both birth and non-birth parents.) Fertility Support: You’ll get easy access to fertility care through Carrot, from basic treatments to fertility preservation. We also provide a stipend towards fertility preservation. You and your spouse/domestic partner are both eligible. Date Stipend: All Hinge employees receive a $100 monthly stipend for epic dates– Romantic or otherwise. Hinge Premium is also free for employees and their loved ones. ERGs: We have eight Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)—Asian, Unapologetic, Disability, LGBTQIA+, Raices, Women/Nonbinary, Parents —that hold regular meetings, host events, and provide dedicated support to the organization & its community. At Hinge, our core values are… Authenticity: We share, never hide, our words, actions and intentions. Courage: We embrace lofty goals and tough challenges. Empathy: We deeply consider the perspective of others. Diversity inspires innovation Hinge is an equal-opportunity employer. We value diversity at our company and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We believe success is created by a diverse workforce of individuals with different ideas, strengths, interests, and cultural backgrounds. If you require reasonable accommodation to complete a job application, pre-employment testing, or a job interview or to otherwise participate in the hiring process, please let your Talent Acquisition partner know. Hinge Responsibilities Strategy and Vision: Own the AI strategy for dating recommendations across the full journey, from first candidate to last date. Build the frameworks to reason rigorously through ecosystem tradeoffs where a win for one cohort reshapes another, and set a vision ambitious enough that the org wants to chase it. Cross-Functional and Industry Leadership: Partner closely with other product groups to integrate AI capabilities across the product and shape roadmap decisions you do not own. Communicate honestly with executive leadership on strategy, tradeoffs, and progress. Own budget and investment strategy for the area, and represent Hinge externally through writing, talks, and community. Technical Leadership: Steer real-time, personalized recommendation systems that reduce ratings per exchange and drive better matches. Bring Generative AI to dating outcomes in ways that are differentiated, authentic, and grounded in how people actually connect. Responsible AI: Hold the bar on scalability, resilience, and rigorous evaluation for both performance and bias. Team and Organizational Development: Structure and scale the team for both deep execution and long-horizon bets. Develop emerging leaders, invest in succession across IC and leadership tracks, and build a culture where rigor, inclusion, and performance reinforce one another. Execution Excellence: Drive predictable delivery, balancing urgent risk response with long-term platform investments. Establish scalable operating rhythms for planning, technical reviews, and incident learnings. What We're Looking For 10 or more years across data science, applied ML, and software engineering, with 6 or more years in AI or engineering leadership defining strategy, not just managing execution. A track record of leading real-time, personalized recommendation systems in production, including the relevance, fairness, and scale tradeoffs that carry real consequences. Demonstrated success scaling ML or AI teams and developing technical leaders who carry the work over years, not a single launch. Deep technical fluency across ML, RL, Generative AI, and MLOps, with the communication skills and executive presence to represent AI strategy at the highest levels of the organization. A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. A PhD is a plus, not a requirement. What Will Set You Apart Experience building AI systems in a two-sided or constrained marketplace, where optimizing for one group shifts outcomes for another and the right answer is rarely obvious. A history of deploying Generative AI thoughtfully in user-facing experiences, not as a trend to follow. External presence through publishing, speaking, or community contribution that reflects genuine intellectual engagement with the field. Prior work in a domain where user outcomes are high-stakes and hard to measure, whether health, education, finance, or something comparably consequential.
